What’s the point of staying away from sex, drugs, partying, and alcohol if you’re still holding on to pride, bitterness, unforgiveness, and other things God is calling you to surrender?

Sometimes we measure our faith by our outward works, but God is looking at our hearts. We have to honestly examine our heart posture and ask ourselves:

Why am I doing this for the Lord?
Is it for the approval of people, or is it truly for Him?

Our walk with God was never meant to be a performance. We don’t do things to impress others or have something to brag about. We do them because we genuinely desire a deeper relationship with our Heavenly Father.

There was a moment when I tried to take matters into my own hands. In my pain, I thought I was ending the story, not realizing I was trying to destroy the very purpose God placed inside of me. But God…

He stepped in.

What should have been disgrace became grace. What should have died was preserved by His mercy. The enemy wanted destruction, but God said, “Not yet.”

Because when God has a promise over your life, even you cannot cancel what He has ordained. He would not allow me to complete my destruction because He is the Author of life, not death.

Sometimes God will allow certain circumstances in our lives, not to destroy us, but to reveal us. The pressure exposes what is hidden in our hearts so we can truly see the condition we’re in spiritually. What is revealed can then be disrupted, dismantled, and destroyed by the power of God.

He doesn’t expose us to shame us—He exposes us to heal us, deliver us, and transform us. Every stronghold, unhealthy pattern, and hidden wound must bow to the name of Jesus. When the process is complete, He alone gets the glory because the victory was never ours to earn—it was already won on the cross.

Jesus paid the price for our freedom. Our job is to surrender, obey, and allow Him to do the deep work within us. What God reveals, He desires to restore. What He uncovers, He intends to heal. And whom the Son sets free is free indeed!
